ABOUT ME

My name is Dorian. I am an editor, director, and videographer based out of Los Angeles, California.

I graduated from The University of Texas of the Permian Basin in 2014 with a degree in Communication. My first two years after college, I worked in television newscasting; first as an editor and photojournalist, then as an on air reporter. While I have always loved filmmaking, working in news helped me realize a deep passion for storytelling.

 

After working in news, I spent several years teaching abroad, documenting my personal experiences through video. This lead me to several freelance video opportunities that paved the way to my career now.

 

In 2019, I began working as an editor and videographer with a creative video agency in Houston. This position allowed me to work directly with clients on commercial video projects, as well as gain more experience as a filmmaker and storyteller. I was given the chance to direct a range of projects, helping develop both my competence, and leadership skills on set. in 2021, I joined a design firm as a video producer; a new role created for the company's Brand Practice division. Here, I further built my skillset in graphic design for identity, messaging for clients, and leading my team in a totally new vertical.

In 2024, I relocated to Los Angeles to purse my dream of becoming a screenwriter and director. I have taken various production jobs from DP to Colorist and everything in between.

My goal is directing films; sharing stories through a visual medium that sparks the same passion in others that I feel when I have a new story to share.
